Charlie Company was the lead Company and 3rd Platoon was the lead Platoon. Our squad was the was the lead. I was with the lead squad. Our whole squad either was wounded or died. Cahill our lead man was the first to be killed. Lt Nelson was seriously wounded. He did get out on our first med vacs. October 12, 1967 was a day that I will never forget. I still deal with it today.
