To those who view this video: WELCOME to "Sitting Down for What's Right!" I hope you enjoy the story and go away from this experience appreciating what Mrs. Clara Luper and her 12 students accomplished in beginning the "Sit-in Revolution of the Civil Rights Movement." Growing up in Muskogee, I still find it amazing this happened here in our state! I am proud that this story is part of our state's story! I am proud of the Oklahomans who joined in to make their efforts successful at ending segregation in our nation!!! Know that this project was a first, imperfect draft. Under the time pressure to learn the technology, research, write/revise the script, and produce the video I failed to verify all of my facts (12 original students and not 14). I want to do a second version of this with the original and revised script, add some music, more images, and attributions. I hope this film honors Mrs. Luper and the "Oklahoma City 12!"
