We are thrilled to announce that students at Asher Public School have been invited to showcase their techological expertise on February 16th at the State Capitol. Specifically, the students will share their knowledge and experience interviewing WWII veterans (and Vietnam veterans) in an effort to capture and preserve oral history. They were taught the basics of digital storytelling after I attended a COV workshop in November, '07 conducted by no other than Wesley Fryer and Dr. Dana Owens DeLong. The students learned the how to's behind PhotoStory 3, Switch, Audacity, and Wave plus gained valuable knowledge as a result of interviewing these gentlemen personally. At present, all of the veterans and their wives will be in attendance as well. What a valuable, beneficial, and worthwhile project this has been for all parties involved!
