Mr. Williams,
I read your comment from the 15th of April. Thanks for sharing and keep contributing. Have you watched any of the other digital stories on this ning related to WWII yet? Just wondering your thoughts. Whitney Allen
Mr. Williams,
I googled for the USS LaGrange. Wikipedia had an informative entry along with a picture. She was only in commission for alittle over a year due to the damage she received during battles. Am I correct? Were you on board during the kamikaze attack that killed 21 sailors and injured 89? It referenced locations it was assigned; the Phillipines and Okinawa were listed specifically. Just wanted to thank you for sharing! Whitney
Mr. Williams,
I received your note. I will Google for the USA Lagrane apa 124. I'm sure others in our "Ning" will find it interesting too. As always, keep in touch. Have you had a chance to view some of the other digital stories completed by members of the "Ning"? I am still uploading our students' as they are completed. Keep in touch! Whitney
Mr Williams: Welcome to our Celebrate Oklahoma Voices online learning community! I am delighted you have joined us, and want to express my appreciation for your involvement in the World War II learning projects of Asher school students. We look forward to continuing to learn from and with you in this statewide project. Please extend our invitation to other veterans and community members you know who are interested in supporting our work. :-)
Hi Mr. Williams,
I'm impressed! Talk about a life long learner. I wonder if you're the first World War II vet who has a blog page? Keep up the good work! And, thanks for joining in! Whitney Allen
