Celebrate Oklahoma Voices!

A learning community empowering digital witnesses of Oklahoma oral history

We have some computers that the videos play on and some that they won't. What software is required to view the videos?

The videos are encoded to the Flash format, so by downloading and installing the free Flash player from Adobe the videos should play fine.

If video content is not visible it also can be an issue with content filtering. The following two domains need to be "whitelisted" or unblocked to permit access to all the content on our site:

http://celebrateoklahoma.us
http//api.ning.com__Please let me know if either of the above fixes resolve your situation. If not, please provide me with more details on the operating system you are using and web browser you're using, on both the computers which ARE playing the videos fine and the ones which are not. More than likely, you just need Flash player installed on those that aren't playing them fine.

Thanks for posting this question in the forum!

Wesley, I upoaded a video this morning and it said it would be posted pending reviewal. The thing about it is that I never got a screen to Title the video or add comments to the title page.

Michael: You can edit the video title, description, tags and location by clicking on Videos - my videos and clicking edit on your actual video. When you use the quick upload feature I don't think it prompts you for that info, but it can be added later.
